Water Intake Towers on the Mississippi River. Visible from the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge St Louis, MO Water Intake Tower #1 is an oval shaped stone structure, Mississippi River in style and identifiable by a green conical shaped roof.

Louis to survive, a bridge across the Mississippi River was essential. The panel floodgate is installed at the CB&Q railraod. Businesses along North Commercial Street in Laclede's Landing in downtown St. Louis begin flooding.
